ABA Introduces COVID-19 Questions for MOCA Minute®

Effective March 13, the ABA will disseminate two COVID-19 related questions to diplomates participating in the Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology® (MOCA®) program via MOCA Minute® in an effort to quickly share new knowledge about the virus and improve physician and patient safety.

Here’s what diplomates need
to know:

Given the escalating nature of COVID-19 and its impact on
clinical practice, these questions will be posed to all diplomates regardless
of their practice profile upon launching MOCA Minute. However, those who have
already answered 30 MOCA Minute questions during the first calendar quarter,
the maximum number, will see the new COVID-19 questions beginning April 1 when
the next 30 MOCA Minute questions become available.

Here’s what diplomates need
to know:

  • These COVID-19 questions will be posed to all diplomates upon launching MOCA Minute regardless of their practice profile.
  • As with all MOCA Minute questions, diplomates can review the critique, key point and references for both COVID-19 questions via the question history in their portal.
