ABA to Attend ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2023

We will be presenting and exhibiting at ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2023, the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ annual meeting to connect with board-certified anesthesiologists and residents Oct. 13 through Oct. 17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

ABA Secretary Alex Macario, M.D., MBA, and Board Director Mohammed Minhaj, M.D., MBA, will be hosting two mini-theater presentations that will take place in the Resource Center.

The first session will take place Saturday, Oct. 14, 12:30-1 p.m. PT, and is entitled, “Keeping Up With Your Continuing Certification – The Latest from the ABA.” Drs. Macario and Minhaj will answer questions regarding the new ABMS Standards for Continuing Certification and review MOCA requirements. Board-certified anesthesiologists may submit questions for the session here.

The second session will focus on intentionally engaging residents and take place Sunday, Oct. 15, 1-1:30 p.m. PT. Our directors will open the floor for questions from medical students and residents regarding their journey to board certification and share what to expect during the initial certification process, how we support board-certified anesthesiologists throughout their careers and the innovative ways we help anesthesiologists remain current in the knowledge of the practice. Residents can submit questions for the session ahead of time here.

Our Physician Engagement Specialists will be onsite at booth #662 throughout the conference to answer questions regarding board certification and MOCA requirements. Additionally, we have two new sock designs available for board-certified physicians, as well as a sock designed specifically for residents and fellows. Board-certified anesthesiologists can also pick up a pin at the booth to proudly display their board certification.

The ABA looks forward to attending the conference and engaging with board-certified anesthesiologists and residents while providing answers to questions and emphasizing the value of board certification.
