The ABA will be sunsetting its ABA PrePay program effective October 2025. This decision comes in response to declining interest in participation over the past two years.
Offloading this program allows us to put efforts into the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan and developing additional continuing certification resources for board-certified anesthesiologists.
As a result of this change, the ABA will no longer offer a bulk MOCA payment option for institutions. We encourage institutions to communicate directly with their anesthesiologists who enroll annually in MOCA to ensure a smooth transition.
MOCA registration opens in January of each year and is required for all diplomates beginning the January following their certification.
