ABA Exhibits at NYSSA PGA79

Raleigh, N.C. (Dec. 16, 2025) – The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) was pleased to exhibit at the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA) 79th PostGraduate Assembly in Anesthesiology (PGA79). The meeting took place Dec. 12-15 in New York City.

PGA79 is the second-largest anesthesiology gathering in the United States, attracting thousands of anesthesiologists, residents and fellows. The annual meeting provides opportunities for education, collaboration and the exchange of innovative practices. As the specialty continues to evolve, PGA allows clinicians and educators to learn, connect and stay at the forefront of patient care and professional development.

Members of the ABA’s Communication and Marketing and Physician Engagement Specialist teams engaged with attendees throughout the meeting. Attendees visited the ABA exhibit booth to ask questions, explore certification resources and learn more about valuable resources on board certification, including a new MOCA trifold and a comprehensive resident booklet. The team was available to discuss all topics pertaining to board certification, including the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, continuing certification updates and the certification journey for residents.

We distributed our two new sock designs available for board-certified physicians, as well as a refreshed design specifically for residents and fellows. All three designs were launched during ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2025, the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ annual meeting. Board-certified anesthesiologists could also pick up a pin at the booth to proudly display their board certification.

The ABA is proud to participate in PGA79 each year and values the opportunity to connect directly with the anesthesiology community. We enjoyed having meaningful conversations with attendees, answering questions and reinforcing our mission to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.
