Setting standards and leading innovation for the practice of anesthesiology since 1938
Raleigh, N.C. (Jan. 26, 2026) — The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) has named the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) one of the 2025 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation for the fifth time. Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative business acumen and human resource practices can be bestowed this honor. The program boasts a ten-to-one ratio, showing the true innovation of the winning companies in their employee engagement execution.
“We’re honored to receive this recognition, which reflects the caring and collaborative environment we strive to cultivate in service to the board‑certified anesthesiologists we serve,” said ABA Executive Director Michele Pore, MBA, CAE. “Earning a place among the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For highlights the strength of our people‑focused practices and the unwavering dedication of the entire ABA team to advancing the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology.”
The winning companies were evaluated by an independent research firm that reviewed several key metrics. The categories for scoring included: Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Creative Wellness and Wellbeing Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment and Selection; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Civility and Inclusion; Work-Life Blend; Community Initiatives and Corporate Responsibility; and Leadership, Strategy and Company Performance.
With over 25 years of experience conducting the Best and Brightest competitions, the NABR has identified numerous best Human Resource practices and provided benchmarking for companies that continue to be leaders in employment standards.
