ABA Launches MOCA Minute Feedback Report

The American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) is launching its first annual MOCA Minute Feedback Report, designed to provide transparency into board-certified anesthesiologists’ comments and demonstrate how that feedback informs improvements to MOCA Minute, ABA’s longitudinal assessment for continuing certification.

Each year, tens of thousands of board-certified anesthesiologists answer 120 MOCA Minute questions to keep their certification current. After answering each question, board-certified anesthesiologists are prompted to rate their confidence in their answer and the relevance of the question to their practice and are provided with a space to share open-ended feedback. This report aggregates that feedback, identifies key themes and outlines actions taken, including question revisions and removals.

This effort, as part of our Strategic Plan, directly responds to physician feedback and reinforces the ABA’s commitment to continuous improvement, transparency and ensuring that MOCA Minute remains clinically relevant and valuable to practicing anesthesiologists.
