We are pleased to announce the elections of President Stacie Deiner, M.D., M.S., and Vice President Stephanie Jones, M.D. Both directors began their roles following the fall 2026 Board of Directors meeting.
Dr. Deiner is the LeRoy Garth professor of anesthesiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire and vice chair for research. She studies cognitive recovery in older surgical patients. She has served on the executive team for the ASA Brain Health Ad-Hoc Committee and chaired the ASA Geriatric Abstracts Committee. Dr. Deiner most recently served as Vice President for the ABA.
Dr. Jones is chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She previously served as the chair of and professor in the Department Anesthesiology at Albany Medical College. Past experience also includes serving as residency program director and vice-chair for Education at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
The Board of Directors reelected John E. Fiadjoe, M.D., MBA, as secretary and Vivek Moitra, M.D. as treasurer.
