Open June 16-18

2026 APPLIED Exam Registration

Offering a designated registration window

To accommodate eligible candidates needing to take one component of the APPLIED Exam in 2026, a designated registration window will be available in ABA GO June 16-18. This new registration window supports the ABA Board of Directors’ goal of providing additional candidates the opportunity to take the APPLIED Exam within 12 to 15 months of eligibility.

Providing an equitable experience

Exam registration is not operated on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing a fair registration process for all eligible candidates. This designated registration window does not prioritize exam week assignments based on the time and date of submission, and follows standard protocol for all exam registrations.

2026 APPLIED Exam Dates: Weeks 5-6

Prepare for registration by reviewing the process and key deadlines below

Confirm Eligibility

The June registration window provides an opportunity for eligible candidates needing to take one component of the APPLIED Exam (SOE or OSCE) to do so within Weeks 5 or 6 of the 2026 administration year. Eligible candidates will receive direct email communications from the ABA regarding registration.

Registration: June 16-18

Eligible candidates will be able to submit their registration within their ABA GO portal June 16-18, 2026. Registration timing will have no bearing on exam week assignments as this is not a first-come, first-served model.

Receive Exam Week

Exam week assignments will be emailed to registered candidates in early July. We will do our best to accommodate preferences but cannot guarantee a candidate’s top choices.

Receive Exam Day

Candidates will receive an email with their official exam date and time approximately two months before their assigned exam week.

  • Eligible candidates needing to take one component of the APPLIED Exam during Weeks 5 or 6 of the 2026 administration year will have a link to register in their ABA GO dashboard June 16-18.
  • Remember, there is no need to register as soon as registration opens as registration is not operated on a first-come, first-served model.
  • Review the Week 5 and 6 exam dates, listed above, to determine how you wish to rank order the exam weeks. Once you submit your preferences, you will be unable to change them.
  • Are you in need of a nonstandard examination? You will be able to indicate this during your registration and we will reach out to you regarding next steps.
  • Reach out to our team at coms@theaba.org or (866) 999-7501 with any questions regarding the process.
