Hoda J. Badr, Ph.D.

Hoda Badr, Ph.D., is a health psychologist and Professor in the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. She is also a Leader of the Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences Program in the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine.

She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Houston in Social Psychology, with a concentration in health and personal relationships. She completed her Postdoctoral fellowship in Psycho-Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Badr’s research mission has focused on the development and evaluation of interventions that assist patients and family members in coping with the symptoms and psychological demands of cancer and its treatment.

Dr. Badr will begin the role of public member director when the current public member, Margaret Pisacano, B.S.N., J.D., completes her final term at the end of the fall 2023 board meeting.
