About
Setting standards and leading innovation for the practice of anesthesiology since 1938
Dr. Kan has worked as a clinical anesthesiologist and senior partner at The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) in Northern California for the past 16 years. She obtained her medical degree and completed her anesthesiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
Her clinical interests include ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and team-based medical simulation for patient care improvement. Dr. Kan serves on the Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Council at South San Francisco Kaiser Hospital and as the founder and director of a newly established TPMG Perioperative Simulation Program.
Dr. Kan serves on the following ABA committees: Assessments Committee, Continuing Certification Committee, DEI Advisory Group, Objective Structured Clinical Exams Committee, STEEP Advisory Committee
