About ITEs
The In-Training Exams (ITEs) are designed to help programs evaluate residents’ and fellows’ progress as they advance through anesthesiology and subspecialty training.
Anesthesiology residency and fellowship programs administer the ITE each year to all enrolled physicians.
Programs may register their residents through the Record of Training Information Database (RTID). Registration will create online invoices payable by check or credit card.

Gaps in Knowledge Reports are intended to support you in the design of your educational program by providing concepts from the ITE that were most misunderstood by examinees.
