We are currently looking for a volunteer to join our Research Committee as a non-Director member. The Research Committee is responsible for conducting, evaluating, supervising and coordinating research activities related to the ABA’s mission. This new member will assist the Research Committee in establishing the research agenda and reviewing, advising and approving research undertaken by the ABA and other research-related issues.
The new member of the Research Committee should be an anesthesiologist passionate about educational research. Additionally, this individual should possess expertise and experience in research to contribute toward research ideas, be able to participate in or lead research projects and critique the ABA’s research from an outside perspective.
Eligibility criteria include:
· Be clinically active as a practicing anesthesiologist
· Be participating in and meeting all MOCA requirements
The new Committee member will be appointed to serve up to two three-year terms. The initial term will begin Jan. 1, 2024, and conclude Dec. 31, 2026. They will participate in Committee meetings three times per year via conference calls in conjunction with the tri-annual ABA Board of Directors meetings. Additional communications and the work of the Committee are largely conducted via email, webinars or conference calls.
